GoogleMaps+flashplayer10 3D experiment
I’m working on flash player 10 3D programming these days, When I got an assignment to experiment google maps api, I tried combine it with flash player 10 3D engine, the result is looks far more fancy than I thought.
you can drag the red point to the map, move the map, rotate the 3D surface, even the usability sucks, but it’s cool! now I know why everybody like use the maps to make demo for their new equipment or any kinds of digital product showcase, the only reason is because demo made by map is fancy, even it doesn’t make any sense.
flash plyer 10 make 3D matrix calculation extremelly easy, this demo is only spend 3 hours work, if change to flash player 9,would be spend more than 1 day.

nice work, just i have installed the debug player and i get some errors when i open the example page:
“SecurityError: Error #2122: Security sandbox violation: BitmapData.draw: http://www.hxflyer.com/works/googlemaps3d/GoogleMaps.swf cannot access http://mt2.google.com/mt?v=ap.88&hl=en&x=67&y=39&zoom=10&s=. A policy file is required, but the checkPolicyFile flag was not set when this media was loaded.”

But I do not understand it, that you made with cs4, or cs3?
Unfortunately for me only cs3-am is.
Or there is some accessory?….

You could actually make a GPS software from this with some kind of first person view by laying the view down in 3d and using some kind of positioning input to centre and rotate.
Lets do that after new years eve

this is maded by flex 3.2 as actionscript project, u can not use cs3 or cs4 modify it.

about the security issue, I don’t know how to solve it yet.
it looks great, I managed to make some changes so viewer can play with it in a bit nicer way.
